Perfect quiet setting on a beautiful lake in western North Carolina. The house was beautiful with lots of sleeping options. It is located in a very quiet neighborhood on Lake Santeetlah. Beautiful windows let in a lot of natural light during the day with a perfect view of the lake. Just down a few flights of outdoor stairs and you are standing on a floating dock with access to kayaks and a canoe (and a pontoon boat for a separate fee). It was a time to remember. Communication with the owners was seamless (they were extremely nice and accommodating) and everything couldn't have gone better. Will definitely return. 15 minutes from a few stores in Robbinsville for groceries and daily needs, this is a must-stay at place for those looking for a mountain / lake getaway.

Ohmygoodness. The pictures do not do this home justice - it is an absolute slice of paradise in the middle of nowhere but 10 minutes from Ingle's grocery store. It was hard to tear ourselves away from the panoramic view out the windows in the den of Santeetlah Lake. We got to enjoy time kayaking, pontooning, and even felt like locals using the Jumping Rock that Kristen and Charles recommended and shared the location of with us. The hosts were kind, caring, attentive, and had great communication. It's a good thing we stocked up on groceries, because the view was too good to leave. All our meals the whole week were made in the cabin, which was easy because the kitchen was well stocked. This home has been loved, and it feels like a private slice of a special and relaxing life shared when you come and visit. Even moody weather days were spectacular. Enjoyed seeing a bald eagle catch a fish and enjoy a meal on the lake! Our family of four stayed here with my sister-in-law and Neice and it was super spacious for all our needs, including for two teenagers who wanted privacy and could have hangout time in their own screened porch, or kayaking, or even going for a walk in the area. Bring plenty of food and good books to read because the couches were so snuggly and the view so great that you won't want to leave. Perfect place to relax, unplug, and truly have a break. We don't visit places twice in general but this is one we would happily return to again because it was so divine! entire house is furnished and decorated impeccably. Everything, from the color palette used, the quality and quantity of the furnishings, the attention to detail, give out a feeling of a peaceful retreat, very well cared for and lovingly attended to. Everything is very very clean and well maintained. You can tell that the owners take very much pride in this house (as they should) and it’s their joy to share it with guests. Everything you need will be at the house. It’s well stocked with (beautiful) dishes, glasses, pans, etc. Lots of bathroom towels and lake towels too. We used the kayaks (included) almost every morning, to explore the cove and beyond. Lake Santeetlah is amazing. It’s not overly touristy and you can enjoy relaxing outings with kayaks or pontoons. Most of the lake is part of a national forest so the scenery is very green (in summer at least) everywhere. Kayaking was the perfect way to start our day for us. They provide life jackets too. It was difficult for us to decide which of the many screened patios, porches, or terraces, use at any given moment. There are so many choices of outdoor spaces that we had to give them nicknames. The owners are exquisite. They are very kind, very responsive in communications, and always willing to help in any way they can. It is my hope that all the future guests of this lovely house will spend wonderful times there as we did and will realize what a special house it is. It’s a gem. We’re looking forward to come back!

From the moment you enter the front door, the gorgeous house and amazing lake views take your breath away. It was myself, my husband, and my thirteen years old daughter. One of the best memories of my life will always be seeing their faces while entering the house. Their eyes got so wide and their jaws dropped. My daughter was walking fast around the house saying “oh my gosh” “oh my gosh” and my husband went directly to the huge wall of windows in front of us, in the living room, to stare at the incredible views: a quiet, gorgeous lake cove, with pristine clear waters and majestic trees everywhere. This view is so peaceful and relaxing that we felt our stress (from our busy working lives) melt away almost immediately. The house is very big, with lots of room to move inside. The bedrooms are all very spacious. In particular the master bedroom is very big, airy, and comfortable. The closets are very big; a huge plus for an over-packer like myself.
